Caligola 1964-1994

Sulla scena solamente tre cantanti, un cantastorie e cinque strumenti. Un disegno luci essenziale, l'azione scenica ridotta al minimo, nessuna scenografia: solo voci, strumenti e un cantastorie a raccontare la vicenda di un piccolo ragioniere, Claudio Caligola, e della sua vertiginosa scalata sociale. Un teatro essenziale ma non privo di effetti scenici suggestivi grazie alla musica che è a tutti gli effetti un personaggio invisibile che interagisce con gli altri personaggi dello spettacolo.
Il libretto dell'opera è di Francesco Snoriguzzi e di Daniele Del Monaco, che è anche l'autore delle musiche.

Project Guernica

multimedia work

A work of contemporary musical cinematography that lasts an hour and is performed live by a group of musicians and a VJ. A continuously evolving format open to multiple collaborations, stimuli, rewriting and analysis. A workshop where we study the expressive resources of multimedia and where we pursue the definition of the stylistic model of the Laboratorio Creativo Permanente.
The result of this work is a succession of animated paintings that develop a narrative sense without obstructing or suppressing the musical sense. The performance is entirely live, both in regard to the music and the real-time processing of the video, also thanks to the use of electronic devices and sensors constructed for the occasion. The video montage is done directly on stage by the musicians themselves.

Psycho Plum

The turbo-charged psycho-factory is a live multimedia performance where video art, animation, film and new technological developments are interwoven with musical research from composition, improvisation to electronic music.
The performance starts out from an original script for an electro-acoustic and video trio developed by the Laboratorio Creativo Permanente, conducted by Daniele Del Monaco.
Psychoplum began as a format allowing the group to collaborate with other artists from different disciplines (video artists, musicians, dancers and others): the story is modular-based and enables new chapters to be constructed over time.

documentary

A film-documentary by Giona Messina with original music by Daniele Del Monaco and the Laboratorio Creativo Permanente. The film weaves together three parallel stories: the construction of a mosque in post-Communist Bulgaria, the nation's entry into Europe and the marriage of Jamal and Fatmé, which still preserves the ancestral traits of the myths and rituals of those lands rich in history and culture.

In a modern, spare set design, a multiethnic company (Ivory Coast, Senegal, Iran and Italy) composed of actors, singers and dancers and a group of musicians in an electro-acoustic ensemble tell the story of Sogolon the Ugly and her son Sunjata through a declared theatrical game.
One of the most interesting West-African myths is told in the universal language of dance, music and images.
